This policy covers the information collected through hgn.tax and our client portal (portal.hgn.tax) by HGN Tax Prep PC. It does not cover the tax, accounting, and advisory work we do for clients — the terms governing how we handle your financial and tax information, including data retention, are set out in your signed engagement letter, not this page.
Information We Collect
When you reach out through this site — by phone, email, our contact form, or scheduling a consultation — we collect what you give us directly: your name, email, phone number, and whatever you tell us about your situation. If you use the client portal, the portal collects whatever information is needed to deliver our services securely, separate from this public site.
Cookies & Analytics
We don't use tracking cookies, and we don't sell or share your information with advertisers. We may use basic, aggregate website analytics (such as Google Analytics) to understand how many people visit the site and which pages are useful — this doesn't identify you personally and isn't used to track you across other sites.
How We Use Your Information
Information you send us is used to respond to your inquiry, schedule a consultation, and provide the services you've asked about. We don't use it for anything else, and we don't sell it.
Third-Party Services
We use Calendly to schedule consultations and a separate, secure client portal to exchange documents and messages with clients. Each of these operates under its own privacy practices in addition to this policy.
Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us, and client financial data is handled in accordance with the confidentiality obligations we're bound to as a CPA firm.
